The Society has members from all walks of life who share the common interest. The increasingly popular Yorkshire Day held on August 1st each year, came into being through the Yorkshire Ridings Society.
There are a number of branches of the Ridings Society who each in their own way organise events and publicity to assist in the campaign. Among these are

the North Riding Group is open to all members and supporters of the Yorkshire Ridings Society living in the North Riding. The group campaigns for recognition of our status as part of Yorkshire in the boroughs of Redcar & Cleveland, Middlesbrough and part of the borough of Stockton on Tees, south of the River Tees. |

the Craven Group, who cover the north west of Skipton and Barnoldswick |

theYorkshire Dales Group, who are based in Otley and cover Wharfedale, Airedale and Harrogate districts |

the Saddleworth Group, who cover the Western Pennines |
|
the York Group, covering the City of Yorks and adjacent areas |
|
the Leeds Group, with special emphasis on Yorkshire's heritage and history |
